What is the starting salary of a teacher?
The starting annual salary for teachers outside of London is £32,916. Experienced teachers can expect to earn up to £52,071.
The school you teach in will have their own pay scales for qualified teachers. Pay increases will always be linked to performance, not length of service.
There are different ways to progress and increase your teaching salary. For example, you can move into a more senior role, or take on additional responsibilities that help your school.

Yorkshire Wolds Teacher Training (YWTT) is a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) provider, offering both primary and secondary teacher training courses. Trainees spend the majority of their time in placement at one of over 90 partner schools across the Humber region, including Hull, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
